Joseph Arthur

Now that we’re a month into 2014, I’ll quote Grammy winner Lorde when she sings, “we’re getting good at this.”  The hits keep tumbling in and it’s all we can do not to turn this into a two hour show.  For instance, this week shines on Beck, who’s first album in six years gives it’s first single, Damon Albarn (who finally went solo after launching half a dozen bands) The Notwist, Sabina from The Brazilian Girls, and Dr. Dog covering Saint Rich.  Then there’s Joseph Arthur joining us once again.  And last, but nowhere near least, the amazing feat that our own Sean Cannon accomplished with his Super Bowl Shuffle.

Dig in.

This week’s recipe calls for one part Rufus, another splash of Lily Allen, blended with a Dean Wareham solo single, and a lot of sparkle from Foster the People.  Throw on some Jenny Lewis for a tasty side dish and invite City & Colour over and you’ve got yourself a darn-tootin’ good dinner party.
