The Who’s Quadrophenia: The Director’s Cut Radio Special

Quadrophenia: The Director’s Cut, released November 15, 2011, was overseen by its original producer, Pete Townshend. The reissue features a re-master of the original double album including previously unheard demos that include several songs that didn’t make it onto the original album.

Quadrophenia: The Director’s Cut gives a unique insight into the creation of this landmark album and is available in several versions including a two-CD Deluxe Edition, double-disc vinyl, digital download and a super deluxe five-disc box set! The box set includes: 4 CDs, 5.1 DVD, Book, 7″ Single and A4 Collectable insert cards.

Townshend recently told NME.com that said he considered Quadrophenia “the last definitive Who album.”  He added, “To me, it felt to me like it was the end [of the band].  The reason I’ve spent so much time working on this new edition is because it’s an epochal record.”
