1. WRUF contests are open to those 16 and older (unless otherwise noted) and who are United States Citizens or legal residents and legally reside in the state of Florida.
2. WRUF may require proof of age, residency, identification, and social security number prior to releasing a prize.
3. Employees of the station, WRUF, contest sponsors and the respective affiliated companies, advertising, promotion agencies, and representatives are not eligible to enter and/ or win.
4. Participants may only win once in any given contest for the entire duration of that contest (only the first chronological prize will be awarded), unless otherwise noted.
5. Prize winners can only win once every 30 days, unless otherwise noted.
6. Prizes must be picked up in person within 30 days, between 9am and 5pm Monday through Friday, at the WRUF business office… 3200 Weimer Hall on campus at The University of Florida. Prize winner must bring a valid state Photo ID. Prizes will be released to the winner only. WRUF will not send prize through the mail.
7. WRUF is not responsible for phone problems during contests. These phone problems include and are not limited to phone calls that are misdirected, lost, disconnected, not received, are illegible, or any other problems.
8. By participating in a contest, participants consent to WRUF and their affiliates, employees, agents, and all other related sponsors using for advertising and/ or other promotional purposes without additional compensation, all contestants’ and winners’, image, voice, and / or biographical information on the radio or television broadcasts, newspaper advertisements and / or any other medium in connection with the contestants’ participation with the contest.
9. Participants in a contest hereby release WRUF and agree that WRUF and other participating sponsors and their associated companies and sponsors accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from (a) participation in the contest, and / or (b) the acceptance, possession and / or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
10. WRUF reserves the right to terminate or declare this contest null and void and rescind any contest awards if in sole judgment, the rules of the integrity of the contest have been violated or compromised in any way, intentionally or unintentionally by any person whether or not a participant in a contest.
11. WRUF reserves the right to alter or amend contest rules at any time. Additionally, WRUF reserves the right to suspend, stop or conclude the contest at any time without prior notice.
12. Winners are responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes and will receive a 1099 misc. from for tax purposes if their total prize winnings in one calendar year exceed $600.00.
13. WRUF management shall be the sole arbiters in all matters relating to a contest and the interpretation of contest rules. The decisions of WRUF management shall be final.
14. WRUF reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for all contests and giveaways. Prizes are not redeemable for cash, substitution, transfer or assignment of prizes.
15. Odds of winning depend on the total number of entrants / participants in contest.
16. Station will not accept entries submitted in the name of anyone other than the person entering the contest.
17. Complete contest rules are available at the WRUF business offices, located at 3200 Weimer Hall at The University of Florida, Gainesville, FL 32611 during business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00p.m., Monday through Friday.
