In this two-hour special, The Jimi You Never Knew, World Café host David Dye showcases new Hendrix music that has surfaced over the past few years. Featuring interviews with Hendrix’s sister Janie, engineer Eddie Kramer, bass player Billy Cox, and other musicians including Steve Winwood (Blind Faith, Spencer Davis Group), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Taj Mahal, Angela Davis, and Bootsy Collins (Parliament/Funkadelic), this special delves deeply into the legend of one of rock’s most influential stars.
